Iran 2500 BC

In 2500 BC Iran was home to several farming and herding societies. These lived in local, small-scale communities. Nevertheless there is plenty of evidence of long-distance trade routes passing across the plains and plateau of Iraq, between Mesopotamia and the cities of the Indus Valley civilization.
